Building on our history, the College of Education, Health and Human Performance prepares program candidates and partners with schools, agencies, and communities to impact the world.

College of Liberal Arts

By providing rigorous programs of study in the Behavioral Sciences, Language and Literature, and Social Sciences, the College of Liberal Arts fulfills its mission to engage students in pursuit of intellectual excellence and global awareness, bringing them to join with faculty mentors in the discoveries, both personal and professional, to be realized through scholarship, opportunity, achievement, and responsibility, Fairmont State’s core values.

College of Nursing

Fairmont State University is on the front lines of training qualified students for the health care industry. And at no time in our history have those nurses and health care industry professionals been more important to our communities and our nation. A contribution to the College of Nursing will be put to use immediately by providing scholarships to entice students to stay in school and continue their education, by providing discretionary funds to purchase needed equipment and by helping to hire more adjuncts to help increase the number of students we can train. 

College of Science and Technology

The mission of the College of Science and Technology is to promote effective student learning in science, math, and technology and to prepare top-quality graduates for their future endeavors, including graduate study, employment, or other personal goals. Our faculty and staff are proud of our excellent academic programs and the dynamic learning experiences that we offer.
