The 2023 Fighting Falcon Lift-a-Thon will take place during the week of April 17th. Our goal is to top last year's donations! By doing so, we will be able to continue making enhancements to the Rusty Elliott weight room.
This year's enhancements will include the addition of Velocity Based Training (Vitruve) devices and ANCORE PRO functional trainers for all eight squat racks. By making these upgrades we will be able to continue to provide our student-athletes with the highest levels of performance training. Updates and more information on how you can support will be shared over the coming weeks. |
What is a Lift-A-Thon?
A lift-a-thon is similar to a walk-a-thon. But instead of counting laps, our student-athletes will be performing maximal reps on three exercises: squat, bench press and deadlift. The total number of repetitions completed will be recorded and donation amounts will be based on this total.
What will the money be used for?
All of the money raised will be put towards enhancing the training experience for ALL of our student-athletes.
Make a GiftSponsors can choose to support the Lift-A-Thon by donating a flat amount of their choice regardless of repetitions performed.
Our goal is to have a 100% participation rate and for each student-athlete to raise a minimum of $50.00. Use the comment box to enter the name of the student-athlete you wish to honor with this gift. |
Make a PledgeEach sponsor can support the Lift-A-Thon by donating a dollar amount per repetition, based on total repetitions. For example, if the sponsor pledges $1 per rep and the athlete performs 10 repetitions of each exercise, for 30 total repetitions, than the sponsor would donate $30. Use the form below to pledge.
At the conclusion of the Lift-A-Thon you will be notified with your donation amount based on your sponsorship commitment. |
*All cash gifts to the Fairmont State Foundation will be charged a 2% management fee. You may choose to pay that fee up front or have it taken out of your overall gift.
