Fairmont State alumnus Dr. John Norton Anderson (Class of 1959) is investing in the next generation of innovators. Through his gift, he has established the John Norton Anderson Endowed Scholarship to support graduates of North Marion High School pursuing degrees in science and technology at Fairmont State University.
A first-generation student who commuted from Mannington, Dr. Anderson credits Fairmont State with opening the door to a career that led him to earn a Ph.D., work around the world as a polymer chemist, and continue a lifelong commitment to learning. His message is simple: education changes lives. This scholarship ensures future students will have the same opportunity to begin their own journey of discovery and achievement. |
