Annual Giving

Supporting Our University's Greatest Need

Investing in Fairmont State through annual gifts allows you to make a marked difference in the lives of today's students. Annual gifts help us support our students and faculty, the heart of the University’s purpose. By establishing a personal tradition of annual giving, you help the University continue to maintain excellence, innovate, and preserve our strength as a regional institution.

Support from alumni helps ensure the continued excellence of the Fairmont State experience.  Plus, participation indicates alumni satisfaction and sends a message to the world about the quality of the Fairmont State degree and our alumni success.

While endowments are vital to the foundation’s ability to support the university over the long-term, annual giving provides current-use support for a range of critical initiatives, programs and projects that benefit the entire university community.  Gifts made through the annual fund, The Fairmont Fund, support scholarships for students every year; fund programming in all six colleges and athletics; establish new and innovative projects; provide support for alumni programs, services and events; and develop hands-on, learning opportunities.
